Multifamily Customer Portal Resources
The Multifamily Customer Portal (Portal) is a one-stop platform for developers and property managers working on affordable rental housing projects in Minnesota.
Who can use the Portal?
- Development Teams: Easily submit applications and manage the post-selection process for funding from Minnesota Housing's affordable rental housing loan programs.
- HUD Section 8 & 811 Owners/Agents: Submit Special Claims packets electronically for efficient processing.
Note: The Multifamily Customer Portal is a separate system from the Property Online Reporting Tool (PORT) used for income and rent compliance reporting for HOME, National Housing Trust Fund, housing tax credits, and deferred loan programs.

Post-Selection
After your project is selected for funding, the Portal facilitates document submissions and collaboration during the due diligence phase. You can choose to submit documents yourself or grant access to team members (architects, attorneys, etc.) to collaborate. We recommend a core team of 2-3 individuals. Refer to the Project Access Request Form for details.
Special Claims
HUD Section 8 and Section 811 Project-Based Rental Assistance owners and management agents use the Portal to submit Special Claims packets electronically. You can track the status of your claims and view upcoming deadlines.
